Clubs

Galaxy International School Uganda offers a wide variety after school activities for various grade levels. We believe that extra-curricular activities play an integral role in education and play a key role in the holistic development of the students.

Through the clubs, we hope to:

  • Promote active participation.
  • Promote students’ mastery of skills through participation in competitions at different levels.
  • Develop talents among our students.
  • Integrate life skill learning, character building etc.

 

 

 

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

  • Students cannot be signed up for clubs that have reached the maximum number of registered students, so the registration will be made on a ‘first-come, first served’ basis.
  • Should the minimum number of students not be reached, the club cannot be organized.
  • For registration for these clubs, please make the full payment in cash at the school accountants after filling the choice form out.
  • It will not be possible for a student to switch clubs once they have been registered.
  • The club fees are non-refundable.
  • Students cannot sign-up for clubs that have already reached the maximum number of registered students. Registration will be made on a ‘first-come, first served’ basis.
  • If the minimum number of students is not reached, the club will be cancelled. After filling out the “Club Choice Form” please make full payment of registration fees at the school accountant office.
  • Students are not allowed to switch clubs once they have signed up and paid the registration fee. The club fees are non-refundable.
  • Club registration is open from Friday, the 18th of September to Monday, the 28th of September 2015.
  • Students who do not follow the rules and regulations of the clubs will instead attend selfstudy and the club fee will not be refunded. Students who choose clubs after school and on Saturdays will not be provided transportation.

Description

Basketball is a fun sport played with a basketball  that Is bounced/dribbled and shot in a  basket using hands, each team can have several players up to 15 but only 5 players can play at a time, it’s one of the fasted growing sports in the world and students who take it seriously can acquire scholarships when they become good at it for instance at college level and can  become professionals .

Description

The GISU science fair club is an out-of-school-hours club that offers its members the chance to do science-related activities that extend and enhance the science they experience in the classroom. This club gives its members the opportunity to explore areas of science not covered by the curriculum, enables them to apply the skills acquired and enhance innovation.

6- QUADCOPTER

Description

Our principle is that aerial robots are first aircrafts and second robots. Students must know how to safety fly and adhere to Civil Aviation guidelines. Students must also know how to repair and replace parts. The training method we use allows the aerial robotic Quad copter to be flown safety for fun successful and challenging missions.

Description

Under Water Robotics Club provides students with the opportunity to learn about robotics, engineering, science, and mathematics (STEM) while building an underwater ROV as part of a science and engineering technology curriculum. 20- 3D PRINTING

Description

The main goal of this extra curricular activity is to promote and teach GISU students about the concepts and practices of a relatively new manufacturing process called three-dimensional (3D) printing.
