Galaxy International School Uganda (GISU) is a co-educational school located in Lubowa, 9 km from Kampala, along the Kampala-Entebbe Road. Turn off before Roofings Ltd. and continue along the main road through the housing estate, about 500 m from Quality Supermarket, the school is on the left.
The school provides international education to students between 2,5 and 19 years of age. From Kindergarten to Year 13 students are taught using student-centred methods. Emphasis is on the development of the whole person. Students in Year 10 and Year 11 are prepared for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations and those in Year 12 and Year 13 are prepared for Cambridge International AS & A Level examinations.
These examinations administered by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) are recognised worldwide. The school is privately owned with a Board of Governors and the day to day running of the school is managed by the Principal. Teachers undergo professional development training to provide exposure and understanding of the expected curriculum standards and contemporary practices.
