As a state, California really does have a little bit of everything. Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco are all cities that you just have to spend time in one point in your life. People come from all around the world to walk among the stars &marvel at the Hollywood Sign.
Food
They have all the things you would anticipate like In and out to include; burgers, fries and a little bit of rice. The fast foods are a common delicacy. We often grew nostalgic over our Matooke, boiled rice and cooked food back home.
Amazing Attractions: The attractions were absolutely amazing to explore.
The most memorable for us all was the Universal Studios: a unique experience that was fun, theme and packed with many memorable activities; The World-Famous Studio Tour; The World of Harry Potter™ , DreamWorks Theatre, the Fast & Furious – Supercharge- this saw most of us scream so loud as we held on tight to our seats. The King Kong 360 3-D was such an awesome experience – The dinosaurs came to life and swerved our train off its rail.
Disney California Adventure Park brought to life the fairy tales of all times. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jack and the Bean Stalk, Rapunzel, The Three Little Pigs, and Little Red Riding Hood. These are stored in a magnificent castle and one can easily talk to them though the re-told story lines. The animation with real trained animals reminded us of the love and care for nature.
Golden Gate Bridge: The Golden Gate Bridge is up there with the Hollywood Sign as one of the most notable man-made objects in the state. This stands between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Its color is orange and the most famous bridge in the world.
Silicon Valley, in the southern San Francisco Bay Area of California, is home to many start-up and global technology companies. Apple, Facebook and Google are among the most prominent. We were able to locate our school, GALAXY International School Uganda using the Google map. The excitement to actually use Google map and locate our very own school was hilarious. Did you know that the latest gadget is iPhone x? We promised to ensure we purchase one when we next visit.
Shopping
This was not our target, but how could we fly all the way and come back empty handed? Many at times we stopped at outlets and malls to window shop and also buy items of preference. The shopping malls included Ross, Macy’s, Marshalls, TJ Marks and Best Buys.
